Envirolet with the NEWTs in the UK (update)

Posted by Scott

Envirolet and the NEWTs We previously reported on Buzz on the NEWTs in the UK about a year ago.

The NEWTs are the Northumberland Eco Wild Team, “…a teenage Wildlife Watch Group, are creating an environmental farm holiday to share their ideas for ‘going green’.”

After a lot of research they opted for an Envirolet® Waterless Self-Contained Composting Toilet System.

Narrowboat Toilet

Posted by Scott

Narrowboat Envirolet® Composting Toilets are quickly becoming a very popular sanitation solution for narrowboats in the UK.

What’s a narrowboat?
Wikipedia describes a narrowboat as “a boat or small barge used on narrow beam canals in Britain. Modern narrowboats are made about six feet ten inches (about 208 cm) wide. They are typically up to 72 feet (22 metres) long…”

Narrowboats are quite different than any other type of boat out there. Luckily, we have Richard Saillet, our narrowboat expert in the UK. Richard operates The Canal Shop in the Whilton Locks, Daventry, Northamptonshire (map). Envirolet® waterless self-contained models are a popular choice for narrowboat applications.

“We love our new Envirolet toilet. We have had it for about 5 months now and it is really easy to take care of. It also has saved a lot of money on our water bill.

"It has worked great for 4 seasons!"

Posted by Scott

Brian W. of Warren, Rhode Island sent Buzz some great comments and photos about the Envirolet® Waterless Remote System (120VAC) he has installed in his cabin in Vermont. The system has been in use for the past 4 seasons.

“Hey There Envirolet!

Spring Time is here time to clean out the unit and put in a new start-up kit. I saw your offer there on the page for a new start up kit in exchange for a few shots of our installed toilet system.

We have been incredibly happy with our Electric Remote Waterless System. It’s been the perfect fit for our cabin up in the mountains of Vermont. It has worked great for 4 seasons! The wind turbine and venting fan on the unit have been excellent and worked great.”

The photos that Brian sent are really awesome! They show you the main elements of a typical installation: the toilet, the composting unit and the vent system. When you look at the photos you can also see some clear features of Envirolet® that others do not have.

The Envirolet® Waterless Toilet is clearly the most aesthetically pleasing waterless toilet on the market. Compare to others and you will agree. They went with white, still the most popular color, but the Waterless Toilet comes in a variety of colors to match your bathroom.

Our composting unit (the black tank below the cabin) is connected to the Waterless Toilet with a durable flexible 8” drain connection. Being flex drain is important because it allows for movement of the system during climate changes. Combined with the Envirolet® System body that is made from rugged polyethylene and you have one tough unit (that comes with a Lifetime Warranty!). These features are especially important in colder climates like Vermont (not to mention Alaska, the rest of the northern States and Canada where many of our systems are installed).

The Wind Turbine. Only Envirolet® even offers a Wind Turbine. In fact, it is included standard with most models. The Wind Turbine really helps with the air-flow in the system and is the only “power” source in Non-Electric models.

There you go. A few Envirolet® features. Read more features here or call our experienced customer service team to speak to a live person. Call 1-800-387-5126 in the US, 1-800-387-5245 in Canada or 416-299-4818 from international locations.

Brian took advantage of our special offer for a free Starter Kit or Compost Acclerator. Why not send us your photos and comments too! Send to buzz@enviroletbuzz.com.

Feedback on Amazon.com

Posted by Scott

There are some more great comments about Envirolet® and our service on Amazon.com.

Read this one from Debra:

“I had some problems with the shipping Information via DHL’s website, but they kindly directed me right to Sancor. I spoke with a few different people there regarding my order…every one of them was most pleasant and genuinely sincere. They called me back direct with information. I would rate them extraordinary rather than simply excellent. Thank you for selling their product!”

"Quality of Construction"

Posted by Scott

EnviroletCare Julie, one of our amazing customer service reps, is truly on a roll! She received these fine comments on March 16 and received the ones below on the 18th via email from Paul in Wisconsin.

“Hello Julie,

Just to let you know, we received our Envirolet composting toilet yesterday (March 18th). It arrived in excellent condition. We are impressed with the quality & speed of service from Envirolet and the quality of construction of our composting toilet. I am looking forward to installing it at our cabin once the weather warms up enough to do the required roof/shingle work. Thanks again for the positive shopping experience.”

It’s great to know that the quality of Envirolet® systems is not going unnoticed. Our units are extremely durable and are probably the thickest unit on the market. Envirolet® is made from tough polyethylene that is recyclable and more environment-friendly than fiberglass (what some others use).

Why is this good? You want a solid unit thaty can survive the elements. You also want a more environment-friendly product.

The quality of our system bodies is what allows us to offer our Lifetime Warranty on the body. Compare this to others.

We want to hear your comments! Send them to us, with photos!

New & Improved Mulcherator

Posted by Scott

All new Envirolet® Composting Toilet Systems now come with new & improved Mulcherator cutting blades!

The Mulcherator cutting blades are part of the Aerator Bar System that breaksdown, mixes & aerates material in the unit to ultimately speed up the composting process.

We do not have any photos to post yet about this, it’s so new. But, I will get some up ASAP.

"Customer Focused Service"

EnviroletCare Envirolet® Customer Service Rep Julie received a short but kind email today (March 16, 2006) from a customer after sending him his tracking info for his soon-to-be-delivered Envirolet® Composting Toilet System:

“Thank you for the tracking information. I am very impressed with the customer focused service I have been getting so far.”

Our reps are amazing at the little things, like updating customers on their order status. But really, this shows you that there are not any little things at all.

"We LOVE our Envirolet."

Posted by Scott

Lorna N. of Bend, Oregon sent us these impressive photos and comments on March 12, 2006 about her non-electric Envirolet® Waterless Remote Composting Toilet System (installed July, 2002) in her beautiful cabin.

“We LOVE our Envirolet.

We have an off grid cabin and installed an Envirolet toilet and have been so pleased with the effectiveness of the system. We had some questions at first and the knowledgable staff were extremely helpful and patient with my questions. Thank you Envirolet.

We wish the governments would recognize these toilets as alternatives to sewer and septic systems.”

Lorna N.
Bend, Oregon

Thanks, Lorna! Testimonials like yours definately help spread the word about Envirolet® to individual consumers and government agencies. The system you are using, the Envirolet® WRS NE (waterless and non-electric model) is a perfect example of how to save water and energy! Your photo also shows that a composting toilet can look as nice (or better!) than a “regular” flush toilet in the bathroom.

One way others can help, other than installing their own system of course, is to link to this page or send the link to others, including the local authorities. Let’s spread the word and Ban the Flush!

Be sure to send us your Envirolet® comments!

"Everything went very smoothly."

Envirolet MS10 Some more excellent comments!

Brian W. in El Segundo, California completed the feedback form on March 10, 2006 after his Envirolet® MS10 purchase.

Overall Rating: Excellent

Price Rating: Good
Shipping Options Rating: Excellent
Delivery Rating: Excellent
Ease of Purchase Rating: Excellent
Customer Service Rating: Excellent

Comments: I recently purchased an Envirolet Composting Toilet, model number MS10, and everything went very smoothly. After reading their very thorough web site I still had questions about the function of the product. I sent an email to Sancor with all of my specific questions and received a very detailed response the next day. I also called Sancor on the day I ordered the toilet and received very courteous and knowledgeable service. Placing the order was a simple matter of checking the features I wanted and the product was delivered exactly as promised. I installed the unit in less than a day and now have a functioning back up toilet without ever needing to call a plumber.

Thanks for the comments, Brian.

The Envirolet® MS10 is a waterless all-in-one composting toilet system and is one of our most popular models because it can be installed almost anywhere. Popular applications include cabins, cottages, basements, garages, work shops, boats, yurts, farms, and more! Basically, Envirolet® goes anywhere. The Ms10 is also the orginal Envirolet®, first coming to market in 1977.

Please send us your comments and photos about Envirolet® to share with others so we can save even more water!

Awesome Church Toilet

Posted by Scott

Envirolet Mrs. Edward P. sent us some kind comments (with her March 6, 2006 order for a Starter Kit and Compost Accelerator) about the Envirolet® Basic Plus System they have installed in their church in Minnesota.

“I am ordering some supplies that are needed for our church Envirolet toliet that was purchased from your company. It is AWESOME. I will be putting the check from the church in the mail tomorrow.”

Thank you.
Mrs. Edward P.

The Envirolet® Basic Plus is a waterless, self-contained system that can install almost anywhere. It uses no power, but has a high rate of evaporation thanks to the included 4” Wind Turbine ventilator.

Churches are popular applications for Envirolet® Composting Toilets. The fact that water is not required, its environmental and economical benefits, the choice of power and the ease of installation make it a wise choice.
